Velocity Washer does not need any special tools or changes to your bolt procedures. The magic happens on disassembly, when the Velocity Washer collapses on itself to remove all bolt load and prevent galling. This is due to the threaded features of the nut / bolt not having enough energy build up to create a phase change (i.e. gall or seize) because of the minimal rotation and rapid bolt load release.

We have the most success solving problems with bolt diameters between 1" - 6" on assets that see a lot of temperature and/or pressure. Velocity Washers have been engineered to meet military standards in regards to vibration and shock resistance (MIL-STD-167-1A, MIL-S-901D, and MIL-STD-1312-7A).
